want to ask steven moore something here. i think all three of us -- there are four ever us. forget my math. all four of us agree on this haut. why is it that's not why mitt romney says he can create 12 million jobs over four years. he talks almost exclusively about lowering taxes to spur job growth. i have a suspicion you actually agree with him on that. >> i know you've been skeptical of that number. i think it's very achieve scrabble. as you noted with that chart that you were showing even though we have had 5 million new jobs over the last four years, do you realize we're still about 4 million jobs short of where we were in 2007. so we still have a lot of ground to be made up. in fact we should be growing the labor force and employment by about double the rate that we are. if we pick up the pace we should be at and keep that for four years i really do believe 12 million jobs is achievable. my goodness we did that in the 1980s under a republican president, ronald reagan and a democratic president bill clinton. >> and gdp was 4.8%. 4.5% in one case. 4.3%. i can find economists who wi

can't vote at home. how does it affect you? does it lean republican or is it even steven? >> i think it's flipped. it used to be you had to give a reason for early voting. you had to be disabled or -- wealthy people in florida or business people. now it's all about organizing and getting people there early. in ohio we have what's called the golden week. this was interestingly written by a republican legislature, the law was, several years ago where for one week registration is still open so you can register at the cuyahoga or franklin county or richland county board of elections. you can register to vote and vote in your same trip to the board of elections. >> i like that. >> it really makes sense. we're urging people to come in this week. people particularly who are least likely to be registered, and that's people on college campuses coming back to school, more low income people, and people that might have moved for business reasons, whatever, and need to update their registrations. >> okay. here is the battle going on in the air. you were talking the ground game. the obama campaign

, brooke. >> with the assassination of chris stevens, u.s. ambassador, looks like that could be an issue in the election. should mitt romney make it one? >> that's the question, brooke. as you know politico's done some great reporting as there's real tension in the romney camp as to capitalize on the issue or just stay on the economy. it's the economy, stupid. but obviously the attack in libya has become a hugely politicized issue. you can see it from both sides. today the chairman of the house oversight committee came out with a letter saying that the united states government had denied repeated requests for more security at the consulate in benghazi and listing 13 incidents that had happened over the past six months that he thinks were warning signs that were ignored. so he's going ahead with that. and he's going to bring congress back to have hearings next week on this issue. no question this has become a political issue and in terms of hearings, coming at a very bad time for president obama and the democrats. >> something to look for possibly if not tomorrow night in denver in that d
